So beautiful. Great insight into a wonderful cultural event. Heart warming story, fun music, and strong family message. Has had me near tears every time I watch it. Also, has amazing animation and beautiful coloring. Really immerses you into the world. So good it won two huge Oscars in 2018: Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Song) “Remember Me” & Best Animated Feature Film.

CHARACTERS: Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez) – the boy who just wants to play music Hector (Gael Garcia Bernal) – the man down on it’s luck Ernest de la Cruz (Benjamin Bratt) – the beloved musician Mama Imelda (Alanna Ubach) – the mother just trying to protect her family

SUMMARY: “Aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer.” – IMDB Summary

MUSIC: Remember Me (Lullaby) - such a beautiful song, the slow version Remember Me (Ernesto de la Cruz) - the fast version Un Poco Loco - very fun and upbeat

Everyone Knows Juanita - fun, but sad scene La Llorona - good action song and scene The World Es Mi Familia - attention grabber

Proud Corazon - a great finale song

Overall, a must watch in my opinion! The kid is so stinkin’ cute too!

8/10
