Such a good romantic comedy based on the Jane Austen novel Emma. It was so funny and so entertaining start to finish. Just what I was looking for amidst this crazy pandemic! The script was witty and fun which paired perfectly with lavish costumes and gorgeous filming locations.
CHARACTERS: Emma Woodhouse (Anya Taylor-Joy) – the match maker George Knightley (Johnny Flynn) – the longtime friend of the match maker Mr. Woodhouse (Bill Nighy) – the father of the match maker Harriet Smith (Mia Goth) – the new friend of the match maker and a hopeless romantic Mr. Elton (Josh O’Connor) – the self-centered priest Frank Chruchhill (Callum Turner) – the mysterious man Jane Fairfax (Amber Anderson) – the mysterious woman Miss Bates (Miranda Hart) – the chatty one
SUMMARY: “In 1800s England, a well meaning but selfish young woman meddles in the love lives of her friends.” – IMDB Summary
Overall, I would definitely recommend watching! Such an upbeat movie that leaves you with a happy feeling afterward.
